Great for phone calls and FaceTime, Talk For Me - Text to Speech is an efficient communication tool. With its user-friendly interface, you can easily type in the main text area or tap one of the six main custom buttons to have your iPhone or iPad speak on your behalf. It even supports phone calls and FaceTime audio/video calls, automatically transmitting the spoken text to the other caller's device. Additionally, this app allows you to create custom phrases and save them in an archive database for quick access during phone calls or meetings.
For swift typists or when spelling out words, the Auto Speech Function can be enabled to have each word or letter spoken as it is entered. Combining this feature with keyboard shortcuts, predictive text, and personalized phrases, Talk For Me - Text to Speech facilitates seamless communication.
The app offers multilingual support, including English (US, AU, UK), Chinese (CN, HK, TW), Dutch (BE, NL), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (BR, PT), and Spanish (MX, ES). In addition, it now integrates with iOS 17's Personal Voice feature, empowering users to create and utilize their own unique voice within the app.
Talk For Me - Text to Speech boasts several notable improvements. Firstly, it allows speech to be sent to an active call on your iPhone and can be used during FaceTime calls on both iPhone and iPad devices. Secondly, a visual representation of the text being spoken is provided; this feature proves especially helpful during phone calls and benefits individuals with hearing impairments.
While using the app, an internet connection is not required. Furthermore, Talk For Me - Text to Speech is ad-free. The availability of multiple voices adds to its versatility - the inclusion of the popular Alex voice is a welcomed feature. In terms of accessibility, the app supports Dynamic Type, Siri Shortcuts, and provides options to adjust speech rate, utilize punctuation marks, and utilize an undo feature should any accidental taps occur.
The app's interface is designed for ease of use, featuring quick access customizable buttons that can be swiped up for more options. Additionally, long-pressing any custom button allows users to set a descriptive title, custom phrase, and choose their desired voice. The app supports both portrait and landscape orientations, and its large buttons ensure effortless usage.

Furthermore, if you wish to adjust the text size for improved readability, open the Settings app on your device. Navigate to Display & Brightness > Text Size or General > Accessibility > Large Text.
